Shopping MMA Yokohama/Tokyo

Where are the best places to shop for MMA gear, DVDs, Books, T-shirts, besides Isami and World Sports Plaza? I'm particularly looking for older material, Fujiwara's submission books, Sayama's sambo book, old Pancrase tapes, ect.

Try checking some of the older threads.

I looked over the older threads and didn't find anything. Can you give me the title of a useful thread or maybe the subject? Thanks.

I'd say the two best martial arts shop in Tokyo are the Fitness Shop (the are a few of them but the one in Suidobashi is the best for martial arts gear) and Center Sports in Shibuya.

This is the Fitness shop home page:

This is the Center Sports' one:

As for books, my little secret is Jimbocho. This area of town is the center for Tokyo's used book dealers and other bookshops, and some of them cater heavily to martial arts enthusiasts.

In particular, there is a used bookstore specializing in sports publications. The wife and I ran into it by accident after grabbing a plate of curry at the fantastic Bondy. I don't remember exactly, but the shop should be somewhere on the Jimbocho 2-3, 2-13, or 2-19 blocks. It was there that I picked up an old copy of Sayama's seminal book, "Super Tiger Shooting: Searching for the Strongest Fighting Art."

I recall that the basement of one of the Shosen bookstores, probably the one at Jimbocho 1-3, is stacked with martial arts and pro wrestling books, magazines, and DVDs. Shosen deals only in new copies, so I only buy there when I can't find used versions.

Meanwhile, here is a link dedicated to fight-related businesses in Suidobashi:

Do you mean that link that I attached? There should be two maps one it. The top one is the Suidobashi station area. The lower one is the Jimbocho station area (the bookstores aren't indicated on it, by the way).

that's it...cheers!
