So Rashad is out and Machida is in. It just seems like the same group of 205 lbs fighters keep fighting each other and I'm board with it. It's always Rashad, Machida, Rampage, Jones, Shogun, and sometimes Forrest. That's it! I'm tired of it.
I like Machida, but lossing 2 out of your last 3 gets you a title shot? (Although to be fair he beat Rampage I was there live, front row, and I watched it again later on TV. He won that fight).
The title shot should have gone to Henderson!!! The SF 205 champ. Just knocked out Fedor. Hasn't been played to death lately in the UFC.
If not Henderson I would rather see anybody who I haven't seen over and over again. Davis as soon as he is ready. Gegard Mousasi. Rich Franklin. Hell even King Mo.
Yeah, Jon Jones and Machida... SEEN IT BEFORE!
.. what?
WOW, Im not sure OP makes any since
yhknq - jones is fighting a fresh face every fight
so take your your ball and go home
Lol, this
Look you two jagoffs, my point is fairly simple to follow:
1) Nobody deserves a shot more than Henderson.
2) The UFC LHW class has been nothing more than a round robin of the same half dozen or so guys for the past couple of years. It could really use some new fighters.
3) Machida is coming off of one good win, a questionable loss, and a real loss - why is he getting a title shot?
So instead of taking my ball and going home, how about I take my ball and shove it up your 2010 noobie ass? After that I don't want it any more, you go ahead and keep it. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here!

Um wrong. Dan Henderson's biggest win at 205 in the past three years is who again?
Babalu and Cavalcante...and he also LOST at 185 to jake fucking shields.
That's what happens when there no mixing things up when you got the tops guys in and nothing special just titles and contenders get redundant need to take notes from Op Grand prixes example. This promotion lost a little of match set up roots and MMA roots to make things interesting if your so tired of seeing the same guys well you gonna have to wait for fighters to pop up when a promotion don't mix things up IMO.
Yes, he lost to Jake Shields. He also beat Fedor and won 6 of his last 7 fights.
I think we can agree that that is better than Machida recently, right?
I say "nobody deseves the shot more than Henderson", you think I'm wrong. If you have another guy in mind, I'm open to it.

So fuckin' voted down.
How the fuck is Jones not a new face, when hes only been in the company for 2 years?

What a stupid reason to vote someone down...
There are trolls and fighter bashers all over this place, and your gonna vote down valid facts because you don't agree with my opinion?
Lame
Some thoughts are better left unposted....

Does he "deserve it" more than Machida? In my opinion YES.
Can a case be argued for a guy who actually held a UFC belt, and who has a style that is much more threatening? Yes. Machida has ONE legit loss, and then one questionable win and one questionable loss. Outside of that he is undefeated, and held the UFC title. He has wins over MUCH better comp then Henderson recently as well AT LHW.
It is debateable, but I do agree.
Rashad is sadly the most "deserving" obviously...which is why I said you were wrong.
Dan Henderson already has a fight lined up, and honestly he poses the same threat as Rampage and we just saw how that went....
Machida poses a VERY unique style threat that Bones has yet to face. An elusive and precise counter striker with the best TDD at 205...

Valid points. After Machida though I hope they find some new faces. Rashad does deserve a shot, but other than him it better be Henderson, Davis, or someone not currently in UFC.
