He is actually pretty competent to say the least - that clip seems almost sarcastic it doesnt show anything. There is footage of him sparring Anderson online which shows he understands boxing, movement and distance and uses his body in a very similar style to Andy

When has the child of a superstar athlete been anything close to their parent? There have been decent pro athletes have legendary children and some legendary parents have had some decent pro athlete children but I can't think of a single time where a family put out back to back legends.

Ken Griffey Sr. and Ken Griffey Jr. - Jr blows his dad away
Archie Manning and Peyton, Eli - Peyton and Eli crush Archie
Harrison Wilson and Russell Wilson - Harrison barely even played

There's been solid players who had kids that ended up being solid players, again, no legends making legends

Cecil Fielder and Prince Fielder
Rick Barry and Brent Barry
Felipe Alou and Moises Alou

Bobby Hull and Brett Hull in hockey are probably the closest to what I'm thinking

Unless I'm forgetting someone history suggests Silva's son will be good, not great, at best.

The Earnhardts don't count.

A couple who far surpassed their fathers....

Bobby and Barry Bonds

Ken and Ken Griffy Sr.

And speaking of Kens, a good example of a father and son in different sports would be Ken and Ken Norton Jr.

Clay Mathews and his father and grandfather.

Keith Tkachuk and possibly Matthew Tkachuk

Yeah that's great and all but I guess you didn't read beyond the first sentence of my post.

^ You're absolutely right, I didn't. Now I feel silly.

Now with that said, how about Randy and Ryan Couture?

From a 14 year old?

Granted there are some high level technical 14 year olds, but then equally, some don't start training till about 15 and then become a level the other couldn't match.

It's like Goku and Brolly. Phone Post 3.0

Yeah, bring up a fighter who has to be qualified on this board by the word "motivated" to be taken seriously as a competitor.

I'm a very casual boxing fan so I could be wrong. I don't believe JCC jr is seen anywhere close to his dad even though he has a good record. Anyone care to clear this up for me?

Phil Simms isn't in the hall of fame and neither of his sons have ever even been consistent starters.
