so is Mir the best hw sub specialist ever now?

first man to ever submit nog, and he did it while he was rocked as hell. I am impress Phone Post

I dunno. I think I'd take Werdum... I think Werdum vs. Nog would've been a tie prior to this.. but now that Frank seems like he's got it down... I think the match now is Werdum vs Frank for HW sub specialist.

He doesnt have the durability to be the best.

Werdum is a legit BJJ world champ. Frank is good, but not on the same level Phone Post

 Fedor couldnt do it.

Old Nog is still best. Phone Post

they need to make the Werdum Mir fight as soon as possible.

Though I think Frank would take Werdum standing. Werdum has decent hands.. but not the power. I think Frank would have the more powerful shots and enough to put Werdum on his ass.

In the end in an MMA fight, I'd go Frank by dec.

As for if they went to the ground... who knows. I'd say Werdum but can you really go against Frank much anymore at this point. Unless he's fighting a huge strong wrestler.. or an amazing striker (which I can't think many exist anymore besides Overeem ..you could lump cain in here and obviously JDS) Frank can take it.

I don't ever see Frank beating:
JDS
Cain

I highly doubt Frank beats:
Lesnar
Overeem

I could see Frank beating:
Carwin in rematch... and most other HW's at this point. And if Carwin has the gas tank... he's in the section above this.

Mir has scary strenph on the ground Phone Post

Nog still there, even the chimpanzee falls from the tree sometimes. Phone Post

didn't Rogan say the same thing about Nog?  I recall hearing Rogan say that nog's sub/ground game was at a much higher level than Mir's.......     right before Mir ripped Nog's arm off.

Why did Mir not leg go properly when Herb Dean stopped it? No respect, even for the great Minotauro. What a douche.

Agreed Phone Post

People were cheering like crazy when not got rocked then I was cheering when not broke his shoulder. Was crazy Phone Post

Always knew he was around the very top but damn that was some impressive ground work!! Phone Post

You guys hating on Frank Mir need a lesson.

Roberto Traven was the 1999 Abu Dhabi Open Weight Champion and finished first in the Mundials in 1998 and 1999.

Frank Mir arm barred Roberto Traven IN HIS 3RD MMA FIGHT AS A PURPLE BELT.

but yeah Werdum would own Mir...sure

This is MMA not BJJ. And everyone gets caught, it's not the first time someone submitted higher level BJJ guy. Shit happenes..

Mir has been subbin' people since day one...dude is scary on the ground.

Mir is a strong sob. There was no way he was letting go of that arm. I was hoping to see the fight hit the mat and it lived up to my expectations. I was rooting for Mino but Mir can hold his own against any bjj guy they put in there with him

Your forgetting Kimbo. Phone Post
