Eddie has been hurt in many fights, we all know this. Generally though, he has great recovery and has usually won those fights. Almost every time he gets hurt his opponents look to finish with strikes. Cerrone will look to submit. Alvaez's two losses at LW are by submission
Didn't think of that
It's a good point but Eddie got out of a couple tight chokes while hurt in the 2nd Chandler fight. Then again he didn't get out of the choke in the first fight..
another thing to consider...eddie is a lot faster than cowboy
Cerrone/Alvarez will look like Cerrone/Guillard IMO

Both Guillard and Barboza were beating Cerrone to the punch before he landed that one shot he needed to get the job done. This fight is a toss-up in my books. Can't wait though.
To counter this well thought out point (no sarcasm)
Cerrone is a notoriously slow starter and Alvarez is known to be the exact opposite
If cerrone leaves his chin out there early in the fight, it could be a huge mistake,
I'm still taking cerrone though, he's got more experience in the big show and is wayyyy more active

I think Eddie is past that all out brawling style at this point and will stick and move and outbox Cerrone
Both Cerrone and Alvarez tend to get hurt early in their fights.

Accidently voted you down, will VU x2 tomorrow. Very true on your point though. I am picking Eddie, but this is just something I think about when breaking down this fight. It's really such an even match.

this is the type of fight I love, as soon as I pick a winner I back track and pick the other guy, I can picture his fight ending ten different waya

Cowboy via dec. Rds 2 and 3. It will be a great fight and a toss up. I'm banking on a lot of jabs and low kicks from cowboy to slow down the pace.
Cowboy gets ran over fairly decisively when faced with aggressive, active strikers. He's good but I don't think Eddie will have much trouble backing him up and finishing him in 2 or less.
