The gym is privately owned, if he wants to be some flat earth, conspiracy theory retard and not follow their rules or the rules that the state is likely forcing the gym to adhere to, than he is free to go workout somewhere else.

Seriously, itās always so disappointing thinking someone is cool and then you hear about how big of a deal they think their birthday is or even worse celebrating the week or month. It should be a kidās thing outside of major milestones.

Someone willingly went to a gym, saw someone not wearing a mask, and were so bothered by that they went and told.

Yeah. They went to a gym where they were told the risk would be lower because of a mask mandate. They then found out that a noncompliant person was increasing the risk for everyone.

fwiw, I am a guy who doesnāt like getting screwed over. I politely ask line cutters to go to the back of the line and I tell people to be quiet at the movie theaters.
I donāt see asking people to put masks on as being much different. Many people are only comfortable going to certain places because they know that there is a mask mandate. Just like people are entitled to expect a movie theatre to be quiet or a line not to be cut, they are entitled to want a place with a mask mandate to mandate masks.
entitlement suits your agenda, but not everyone elseās.
