They probably used a reinforced steel staircase to get him up there and then some type of crane to maneuver him on.

RIP I have an anonymous source that said the horse was put to sleep after this event due to every single bone turning to jelly.
Also they intentionally covered the horse's eyes so you don't see the pain in its eyes.
