STFU trolls about UFC pay

Anderson Silva ($140,000) def. Dan Henderson ($100,000)
Heath Herring ($140,000) def. Cheick Kongo ($30,000)
Chris Leben ($50,000) def. Alessio Sakara ($17,000)
Yushin Okami ($28,000) def. Evan Tanner ($25,000)
Jon Fitch ($60,000) def. Chris Wilson ($12,000)
Andrei Arlovski ($170,000) def. Jake O?Brien ($11,000)
Luigi Fioravanti ($16,000) def. Luke Cummo ($16,O00)
Josh Koscheck ($20,000) def. Dustin Hazelett ($12,000)
Diego Sanchez ($60,000) def. David Bielkheden ($8,000)
Jorge Gurgel ($14,000) def. John Halverson ($3,000)

Average undercard pay, even when you take out Arlovski, was 17,778 dollars. Main Carders (I'll include Arlovski here) made an average of 70,182 dollars without bonuses. If you include the 240,000 dollars the UFC paid in FOTN, SOTN, KO-OTN bonuses paid to main carders, they averaged an even 92,000 dollars. Average overall was 58,600.

But yeah, the UFC isn't increasing the pay scale fast enough.

It shows how much the sport has grown, and how packed these cards are.

The arlovski situation is obviously an analomy. There are a million threads to go whine about that in.

This thread is to all the trolls who whine about how unjust the UFC is with pay.

I agree. They took in over $2 million at the gate, plus probably $25 million + in pay per view. That doesn't include sponsorships, and other misc. revenue. They paid out under $1 million to the fighters. Great thread.

It's refreshing that even bottom level (for the UFC, not for all of MMA) guys are starting to routinely get around 10K or more.

Bielkheden gets 8K, fiorivanti gets 16K, chris wilson gets 12K, Sakara gets 17K.

That's four guys without a winning UFC record who all got good cash.

they paid okami 28k for his 6th UFC win, 7th UFC fight?

that seems pretty shitty to me

"LMAO@spending almost 300k on 3 former marquee fighters (Arlovski,Josh,Sanchez)that were not even on the main card."

ufc is paying fighters way too much!!!!11

i think the fighters are over paid. who else gets paid 150k for 7 minutes of work

SPOKEN LIKE A TRY NOOB!

They dont work for 7 minutes... They put in MONTHS of training (usually 6 days a week), radio and phone interviews, press and photo opps, sponsorship duties, etc...   That 7 minutes is a VACATION to them compared to the months of work PRIOR to the fight!!!

****I meant to type "TRUE NOOB" above... Sorry for the typo

McCorkle...

Because, yes, they made 25 million in PURE PROFIT off of the PPV. I'm absolutely sure you analyzed it correctly there. It's not like they have to give 50% of all PPV money to the carrier. It's not like they are taxed on that money. It's not like they spent millions on advertising, or that they have to give a cut to atheltic commissions. It's not like they also have lots of regular staff and workers who also have to be paid off of that money. None of that is the case. It's all going straight into dana's bank account.

MORON.

Lots of morans in this thread IMO.

Fitch vs GSP. Your math sucks. How are De La Hoya and Mayweather getting a combined $60 million on 1.3 million pay per view buys?

Exactly, there is a helluva lot more that goes into it than what everybody thinks. Anybody that runs a business should be a little more familiar with stuff like this!

This is the third thread reporting UFC 82 payscale, and all three are giving different numbers.

"I'm sure the promoter took home at least $10 Million."

Dude, if you think the promoter of that event made only $10 million then I don't know what else to say.
