I mean it kind of makes sense, Stipe was in three very tough fights against DC since then, he's also 38 years old. Francis is 34, he's actually training wrestling and entering his prime. If I'm a betting man I think we have a new champion

You saw a lot of improvements in Ngannou's game in that Derrick Lewis fight huh?

That just means there's even more money to be made betting than from the first fight.

I really have a hard time believing Francis is 34.  Looks like Fireball.

Absolutely. But the way Francis handled Blaydes gives me hope

I have I haven’t really seen much that has convinced me he has an improved ground game. His recent has looked nearly identical to the run he had before the first Stipe fight, in fact I think his finishes have just been quicker.

I haven’t seen any of his training videos but he doesn’t look any more technical than before, and even his KO of Jairzinho was sloppy, leaping hook IIRC. Obviously his power negates most of his technical deficiencies, but I just don’t think it will be enough against Stipe. Miocic is just head and shoulders above pretty much everyone else in the division.

I see the second fight going just like the first. The odds just reflect the attitude of people who are more impressed by a giant shredded freak athlete with huge sloppy KOs than a guy who’s a proven champion with a well rounded skill set.

His striking is WAY better than his 1st fight with Stipe, I think he switched to a new team.

I like Stipe as a human being, but he gets KO’d ugly by Francis in the rematch. Bet on that.

Yeah. I mean Blaydes actually has given Francis more trouble than anyone else (aside from Stipe), and also took his shots better than anyone else (besides Stipe). In the second fight Blaydes probably went out at one point but he wasn’t knocked dead by Francis like everyone else. In both cases, the Blaydes fights are the probably the best examples of Francis skill set that we have seen at two different periods of his career.
