Blaydes/Pavlovich winner is getting shafted here but at least Stipe is 4-2 in the five years leading up to this fight with Jones if it happens this summer and that would include two wins over DC and a win over Ngannou.

When Pena got her title shot vs Nunes she was 2-2 in the five years leading up to that title fight and had a one fight win streak going over Sara McMann who herself had a one fight win streak over Lina Lansberg.

For comparison, Makhachev was 7-0 in the five years leading up to his title shot vs Charles and Volkanovski was 9-0 in the five years leading up to his champ vs champ title fight vs Makhachev.

Wrong. Title fights are about hype for the challenger among the public. Challengers create hype by being active and winning. Stipe is neither active nor winning. The last time the fans saw him he was KOed by Ngannou and that was two years ago.

When have fans ever wanted to see a fighter coming off a brutal loss two years ago be granted a title shot after they turn 40?

Stipe had a great run but very few people consider him the greatest HW of all time.

Womens bantamweight is an entirely different situation. Its a dead division and there are no interesting title fights. Heavyweight has actual contenders on win streaks. They should be letting these guys fight for the title.

I personally hate how Tapology includes grappling and boxing now. I use Wikipedia the most now. Sherdog is the best database but the website sucks ass.

I don’t know why Sherdog hasn’t updated the interface of their records etc.
Wiki is clean and precise.

I find Tapology the most up to date, especially with fighter that don’t have wiki pages
