Anyone have experience with their gis? Specifically the tank?
I had one, The Estrillo and I really liked it! Well worth it for the price
I have the estilo. Used it for about a year now, holding up well. Just ordered the basic for another in the rotation, $89 is hard to beat.

I'm 5.9 and about 185lbs can anyone suggest what size I should get?

I have the Nova and ZeroG. ZeroG is an overall favorite of all mine.
I have the tank and I love it, but I am used to heavy gis from judo. It is definitely the heaviest BJJ gi I have ever worn (significantly heavier than my old school HCK). Be prepared to have everyone you roll with bitch about how thick it is lol.
The only Tatami gi that I didn't like was the Zero G v2. For me, it was way too baggy. But all other Tatami's that I or my training partners own are amazing. Which is just about every other Tatami gi, minus the special edition ones.
I think they're very durable, very stylish, and worth every penny... if they fit you.
I have an A2L Estilo 5.0, which was the recommended size for me for this gi, and it fits like crap. I'm 6'1.5", and 170 lbs. In most other gis, I'm an A2L or some variant thereof. I couldn't imagine why the sizing was so off. I used to have a 4.0 Estilo, and it fit great (in the same size). For some reason, the arms are short on this and the pants are sort of high on the crotch. I have to say, the body of the jacket is pretty decently fitting.
The gi itself is great. The materials are top-notch. Out of the box, I could already tell that it would stop fitting after one cold wash and hang dry. I was disappointed to realize I was right.
I was really hoping this was a keeper because I love the way it looks and feels. Just fits terribly.
I hope that helps you in your search.
I have the Estilo 2.0 & the Zen Gorilla, whichever model it is. Love them both
I have the Estilo 4.0, Sub-zero, and Mike Fowler. All of them are durable gi's, but aesthetically, the Mike Fowler is my favorite. I got a thing for gold weaves so that just makes it that much better.
3-basics and an Estillo3.0. Like them all. Also have 2-93brand basics that are similar.

Tank is a man's gi
I have the tank. One of my favourites. Real nice fit.
I have the Gorilla. Pants are tight but I like it, and the design is dope. I wouldn't mind buying the tank if the price was right

Dude, if the Tank is heavier than a HCK double weave then I don't know how you can roll in it. lol.

And rightfully so. My fingers are jacked after a 5 minute roll with my teammate when he's wearing the tank. But it's a really nice looking gi.

Amauri Bitetti got given a couple if Tank Gi's when he was teaching at Gareth (Tatami owners) academy. He loves them like all the old school guys.
