Nick Calandrino with a severe case of fighter's ear!
The IFL Trials were absolute marketing bullshit with a lot of fighters taking there time and hard earned money to travel to them and getting screwed.
Has anyone that won the tryouts fought in the IFL?
I had 3 guys win and none of them have been offered fights and the IFL blows us off every time we contact them.
that ear is nasty!!!
i tried out, fought a freebe and my name ended up on the top of the list for welterweights then i was suppose to fight rory markham the athletic commissioner for conneticut said i was to inexpirenced and it was a risk for him to have me fight. i wasted time and money that i needed only to have my big break taken away from me.
That sucks Tom, don't you have over 10 fights? The CT commission is difficult to say the least.
any updates on Spencer Paige?
Spencer is fighting May 9th on the USFL card.

INTERNATIONAL FIGHT LEAGUE UPDATE
3 Title Fights Confirmed for May 16th IFL
By FCF Staff
The International Fight League has confirmed several bouts for the promotion’s upcoming May 16th card, at the Mohegan Sun Arena, in Uncasville, Connecticut. Highlighting the event will be 3 title fights, as the promotion’s heavyweight, middleweight and lightweight belts will all be on the line.
IFL Heavyweight Champion Roy Nelson (12-2) will look to defend his title against UFC vet, Branden Lee Hinkle (13-9). Nelson has won 4 straight, a streak that includes his heavyweight championship victory over Antoine Jaoude in December and a recent defense of the belt versus Fabiano Scherner in February. Hinkle has not competed since last July, when he worked his way to a Unanimous Decision victory over Roman Zentsov at Bodog Fight’s “Alvarez vs. Lee” event.

Middleweight champ Ryan McGivern (12-5) is scheduled to fight Dan Miller (7-1). McGivern won the league’s 185lb. belt in February by winning a Unanimous Decision over Matt Horwich. Prior to that, the Miletich fighter knocked out Fabio Leopoldo at an IFL event in September. Miller, who is a relative newcomer to the IFL has just one fight with the promotion, a submission victory over Dave Phillips last August. The fighter is coming off a No Contest ruling with Mike Guerin at Ring of Combat 18 on March 7th, and has not lost a bout since April, 2006.
At lightweight, IFL champion Ryan Schultz (19-9-1) will take on Deividas Taurosevicius (9-2). Schultz’s championship win came in December, when he handed up-and-comer Chris Horodecki his first career loss by stopping him in the first round. The veteran fighter defended his title last month, by working his way to a Unanimous Decision victory over John Gunderson. Taurosevicius has won 6 straight, and in his last bout in September, the former Pitbull fighter defeated Bart Palaszewski by technical submission.
The league has also announced the card’s team match-ups, the Northeastern based Bomb Squad will face Mario Sperry’s World Class Fight Center, and Ohio’s Team Prodigy will take on Team Quest.
2 fights have been confirmed in the Sperry vs. Bomb Squad match-up, WCFC’s Marcello Salazar (7-2-1) will fight John Howard (8-3), while Danillo Villefort (6-2) will meet the Bomb Squad’s Mike Massenzio (10-1).
