Great vid, I saw Cosmo fighting in the kings cup last year I think. He fought Yosanklei (spelling) in the final after fighting twice already that night. Looked great and should have won if I recall. Yosanklei had some gift decisions that night including the Jordan Watson fight.
Watson is a great up and comer from the UK, fought in the kings cup ect.... We should probably see him in MAX soon if they get their shit together.
whoabro - i admit i havent watched all of them myself, but most people seem to think dekkers got screwed in many decisions against thais. he said he felt like he had to get the ko or he'd get jobbed- again i havent seen enough of those fights in their entirety to judge it, but that's his take.
From the fights I seen against the Thais, he takes too much pride in his toughness and takes way too many blows which puts him behind in scoring. Ramon is a proud man and of course blame the judges. However, the Jomhod loss was a brutal beatdown and I think even Ramon would agree that was a loss.
what gym does Cosmo train @? I know Curritiba is the hub of Brazilian muay thai just as BJJ in rio
Watch this Dekkers v Jomhod vid,http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgjog_ramon-dekkers-vs-jomhod_news Jomhod owns dekkers bad!
Anyone know of a better copy?
Not sure where Cosmo is training ? Assuming he is spending lots of time in thailand?
Must be time for a Big Muay Thai thread on the UG to showcase some of these classic fights :)

Cosmo is with Mikes Gym in Holland right now. Altough he was with Rashad for his training camp vs Tito at Imperial recently. He is originally from Sao Paolo and trained at a small gym there. He then moved to Thailand and trained at Rompsrithong just outside Bangkok for a few years
cool thread!
Regarding Thais in K-1.
Some of the scoring habits of Thais don't translate well to success in K-1 which actually seems to have adjusted their scoring over the years to make Clinchwork even more discouraged and overlooked.
After Buakaw kneed everyone and dumped them into a living death enroute to his first title K-1 further limited it's already heavily restricted clnch rules.
K-1 scores punching to the head probably higher than almost every other kind of striking wheras in Muay Thai punches are virtually unscored. With knees and elbows being the highest scored blows.
Not to say the Thais don't still hve a lot of fighters who do well under these rules but it does change the flavor of traditional Muay Thai a lot. I didn't appreciate the amount of clinch the Thais did till I watched fights in Thailand. Most of round 3-5 are all clinch many times. It's like a greco match with knees and elbows with kicking and clinching.

Clearly haven't heard of Ramon Dekkers....
Good thread OP, good to see some Thai guys on this forum.
Clearly hasnt heard of Buakaw
BrockTheBearLesnar -No, sorry man I needed to clarify. For you to completely write off the Dutch fighters as inferior to the Thai fighters is crazy. Both have their own qualities, for example Dutch fighters have better hands whereas Thai fighters are more versed in the overall style of Muay Thai - for example the clinch, something the Dutch sincerely lack in (they don't fight with the clinch). I love Buakaw, and I love Ramon - it's just for you to make a blanket statement like that is a little crazy.Cerrone's Cowgirl -Clearly hasnt heard of BuakawBrockTheBearLesnar -Benny Lava - Dutch > BrazilianThai > Dutch

Rompsrithong is a sick camp, my boy "Dangerous" Dave Zuniga trains there when ever he's in Thailand, last time he was out there he fought and beat a Dutch guy from Golden Glory Pattaya.
@ the end of the day it's a mixture of what gym and what the fighter is made of. There are alot of tomata can gyms in Holland as much as there are good Gyms, the kickboxing gene pool is pretty big out there. It's the second biggest sport after futbol.
BrockTheBearLesnar -Awesome to hear, I mean you could make an argument for the Thai's they did create it afterall lol.Cerrone's Cowgirl -That's exactly what my Kru says except the fact were he say he like thai better being that he is from thailandBrockTheBearLesnar -No, sorry man I needed to clarify.
