What states is this going to affect? Are we going to have three sets of rules now?
So you can now use an elbow point in a straight downward striking motion? I understand that change no elaboration necessary.
The second portion pertaining to kicking or kneeing a downed opponent, how has that changed from the current rule? Thank you in advance for any elaboration, I’m on the last three quarters of a blunt here so perhaps I’m a little foggy
Jesus only took them 25 years to change it, about time.
The removal of the 12-6 elbow rule gives ground and poun fighters much needed offense after years rule changes against them. Now it wont be so easy for the bottom guy to tie up and stall for a standup.
The more strict downed opponent rules help as well.
it means your hands don’t make you a grounded opponent.
This is like a prisoner wanting to be released because the illegal shit he did isn’t illegal anymore. It was illegal when you did it!
so this aint a grounded opponent now?
so are pride soccer kicks and head stomps now allowed?
If the fighter just has one or both hands on the ground they are not a grounded opponent. So no more of that shit where the fighter defending puts their hand on the ground so the other fighter can’t knee or kick them in the head
So unfortunately Petr Yan’s knee KO to Aljo is still a foul since Aljo had one knee on the ground. Still a KO victory for Goat Yan though
Unfortunately so
that’s my fighting stance
legal target
There are bigger questions here…
maybe its clay guida
What ever happened to when they said the rules were changing and they wanted judges to have more leeway with scoring, like more 10-8 and 10-7 rounds and more draws instead of the traditional ten points must system? They talked about that for awhile then seemed to totally abandon it.
