I have to make a weight for the first time in about three weeks and am likely to have to lose no more than six pounds. Can anyone fill me in on what the best way to lose that weight is, considering I've never did it before? Any advice is much appreciated.
its different for every person.
Some people just don't eat or drink for their weigh in day and can make weight. Others need to do that, plus a little cardio to drop water weight.
Depends on bodyfat etc. Some people have a very hard time cutting weight (ectomorphs) and can only drop a little weight. Others can start a week out and cut 20-30.
Laxettes.
I might do a trial run with not eating/drinking and some exercise, just to see. When should I have my last meal/drink, the evening prior to weigh in?
I'm 5 foot 10 and 163 pounds.
Try eating a tape worm pill and using the snickers technique
If you have to ask it is eating a tape worm then eat normally for 2 weeks then starve yourself for 3 days then hold a snickers bar in front of your penis, the tape worm will shoot out trying to grab the bar at which point you grab on to the sucker and gently pull him out, i recommend using butter or oil to help slide the worm out you don't want him snapping half way out, you should be at the correct weight after this

Don't listen to this complete assface, it's clearly a Mars bar that should be used.
For only a little weight epsom salt baths are good, they dont drain you too much, you can eat drink as normal before it. Much easier than going through the usual weight cut drama
Water loading has always worked for me
poop
Giant enema
This tip got me through college and comes from one of the world's greatest wrestling coaches. Eat clean and make sure you're working out hard for the next 3 weeks. Drink at least a gallon of water a day. 2-3 gallons would be preferable.
You should be about 4 over the day before the weigh ins. Throw some sweats on and get a good pre-competition workout in. You should lose 4 pounds if you're going at the right pace. So when you leave practice, you're exactly on weight.
Go home, have 2lbs of liquid (diluted sports drink, water, and/or hot tea can all work.) Meal should be 1 serving (6 oz.) of lean meat; one serving (size of your fist) of steamed veggies and one serving of fruit. When you wake up and piss, you'll be on weight, fed, and hydrated.
Epsom salt bath... What's the process? What is the expected loss?
Thanks.
i'd change nothing other than eliminating salt from my diet for a week

Snickers are mars
I usually detach my penis if I want to cut a quick 5 pounds.

Fill a bath with hot water, as much as you can bare, the hotter the better, a cup full of the salt in while it filling, get out at intervals which best suit you, dry yourself bone dry to induce sweating and then repeat the process until your pounds are shed, shouldn't take long

Depending on the amount of salt and how hot the water was id say 6 pounds would take you just under an hour and a half. Give or take.

This is exactly how I made weight for my three comps... well the first one I was worried and made sure I was on weight the night before and I woke up 3 lbs under. So don't freak out the night before.
Also weigh yourself at the same time each day that you will be weighing in at for the competition. Good luck!
Awesome. Thanks guys.
