I found the mental fight more interesting that the physical between Conor and Aldo tonight...
I watched Conor walk to the Octagon clearly under a huge amount of pressure, looking beaten down by worry.
Then Aldo emerge focused and pumped.
Conor pacing around, throwing unconvinced strikes to the air, while Aldo was Zen in his corner.
Then Aldo looked like he just suddenly broke mentally under pressure while in his corner. Staring at the floor, he met Conor in the centre of the ring. You could see Conor notice the defeat in Aldo's mind. It looked like Conor fed off it like a choked man finally being able to take a huge gulp of life giving oxygen, another and another. Big deep breaths.
Then the bell rang...
