The ‘Sweet Science’ - The UG’s Boxing Thread!

The move up benefited Canelo. He’s been a machine since.

Pharo is this your Spanish alter ego?

Boxing truly is a strange game, that people can see things so differently. Especially when it’s close, with the two fighters doing different things.

I had ggg winning second fight 7-5 or 8-4.

Holy shit. I’ve only seen their second fight once but didn’t remember so many had it for GGG.

Yeah, it’s interesting. I remember after the fight Lampley said that GGG is the winner in the fans, and media’s eyes, and he has a worldwide following who will hold their own verdict.

He said Canelo, whilst a cultural, and national icon will always have an asterisk on these fights and GGG’s stock emerges higher after both fights.

However, that is not the way it has turned out at all. Time has erased that feeling.

Canelo because of his bold performances, and activity, and GGG because of his inactivity, has served to change/cloud the memory of that time.

It just goes to show it really does matter who gets the W, even when many people dispute the verdict. Moral victories don’t last. Winning is power.
