Through The Eyes of a Secret Service Agent

I really enjoyed that. Seems like a genuine guy.

That was cool!

The Relson BB he talks about.... I think is Scot Devine. He was my 1st instructor, now has an acadamy in Virginia or Maryland.

Yup was Scotty for sure. That was cool, hope to see more of these pieces in the future.  Makes our world seem smaller.

Carl is a great guy. I was his student until just about before I got my purple belt. If you ever have the chance to visit him, go take one of his classes. Great professor!

Carl is a great guy. Sammy1 tries to rip my foot off, so I don't like him.

Scott is based out of Brunswick, Ga. I trained with him for a couple years when I lived on SSI. He's a fantastic guy and great instructor

One of Relson's dirty dozen in America, when I started he was a purple belt then left for the mainland as a brown I believe.  Was soooooooo long ago.  Great to hear he's still teaching.

sorry not meaning to hijack your thread sammy! when I was training under him (probably about 7 years ago) he was running the school more like a club. wasn't advertising at all (in fact he was damn near impossible to find...somebody on this forum told me to seek him out when I moved there...I drove out to the location they described like three times before I could find it. I honestly thought they were fucking with me and got pretty pissed until I finally found it lol. there was no sign and the school was in what was essentially a large tin roof shed with no heating or air...which is less than ideal in south Georgia in the summer lol). from the looks of his facebook page he has expanded his association quite a bit. if you want to reconnect with him search Devine Jiu Jitsu - Brunswick on fb

Awesome! Thanks Sober! I'm still in hawaii but I'd definitely look him up if I'm ever out that way.

That guy led the live I thought I would, down to the same background (father in law enforcement).

But I gave up on the fed LEO stuff...still struggle with that choice.

Yeah, pretty much. I pursued it, but ultimately couldn't reconcile the mobility requirements and pay decrease relative to what was fair to my family. So I declined the academy.

I hear you brother but you did what was best for your family, so don't live with that regret. Things in life happen for a reason and maybe it was best through the eyes of the man "upstairs."
