He striking didnt look so bad against Ken Shamrock.
I think he didn't want to risk going for a KO or sub. He played it safe and went for the G and P win. Nothing wrong with that, and props to the guy for not canceling the fight (though it ain't like he fought for free), but it was a lose-lose proposition. Only way to give his stock a boost would have been to KO or sub Cote.
