Tito Ortiz: I’m the Last of the Mohicans

Always been a fan of Tito since he first stepped into the Octagon and thumped out Albritton in less than a minute. He was exciting then and he has been exciting his entire career. I've had many holy shit moments watching Tito fight, from his destruction of Bohlander and Mezger. To his crushing defeat at the hands of Frank Shamrock. Then his come back win streak going through people like Wandy and KO slamming Evan Tanner and subbing Yuki Kondo and koing Elvis and Vladdy and Ken. And of course some of the best entrances in the history of MMA!!...Then a couple losses, then another win streak. The guy is a big part of why I love UFC today. I've met him a few times over the years, and he is always a super nice guy with no attitude at all. Just a great guy who loves what he does.

Now, Ryan Bader on the other hand. I've never had any kind of moment watching that kid fight. No holy shits, no omgs, no nothing. Just blah, when will this be over type moments.

So I'll be rooting for the old dog Tito to put this pup in line.

GO TITO!!!

Neil Funk - Everything Tito said in this post is correct.

 Except for this part:

" I took on Rashad Evans, who went on to be a world champion and has lost only once since. And I beat him. It was only a "draw" because I got a point taken off for the one, single time when I grabbed the fence. "

I seem to remember Big John warning him not to grab the fence.

Which he did more than once.

No fencegrab in the first round = Tito on his back in the first round. Which we saw in the 3rd...

Its going to be super awesome if Tito wins

 I hope he wins somehow.

Tito did alot of talking in that article, but I'm still not sure what his point was. That he is somehow still relevant? That he somehow deserves to be fighting the best, highly ranked fighters after not winning a single fight for 5 years?

Tito. We all know you are tough. We know you won't give up without a fight. But what you trying to say here buddy Phone Post

Tito -

I’m the Last of the Mo'head'ans.

 FIXED.

one of the best 205's ever, if not the best. Wasnt supposed to beat a ton of of elite fighters that he did, in their heyday. Flew him to ADCC as a last minute joke, held his own their also. Out wrestling Vladdy and owning Vanderlei for 5 rounds are my favorites

Bader is similar to a younger Tito, a very hard fight for Tito.

K Dub Racist, name another person called for touching the fence like that? Horrid call and cost him a win

HULKSMASH - "Then I fought Lyoto Machida, a great fighter who also went on to win the world title. I almost caught him in a triangle and tapped him out. He admitted he thought he was going to pass out. I lost and it sucked, but I was competitive." Oh so now Machida tapped to the triangle? HOLY DELUSIONAL BATMAN!!!! <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

I laughed at this too. I really like Tito and he is a cool guy but if Machida really told him that he was going to pass out he was just trying to make Tito fell better.

Bader at least has some KO's. Tito was only exciting when he was getting beat up.

Great Article. We are still going to be talking about him when he is gone. He gets the most views, posts, ppv's, and press, over any other fighter. Imagine how popular he would be if he would've actually won some of those fights the past 5 years. Tito by ground n pound in Round 2. He has nothing to lose.

'almost' is the key there

honestly... war tito

tito= marketing machine

Sadly I think this fight is going to look just like the matt hamill fight..though bader could also tko him.. Phone Post

Because he won't go away. He'll like one of those washed up celebs saying and doing stupid stuff [like he is now] to keep himself in the press. 10 years from he'll been running his mouth saying he could beat the champion if he was still active and other such delusional nonsense.

Get your trolling ass out of here. I'd like you to try and explain how he was better than Chuck and Randy. Go ahead, I'll wait.

A Randy in his 40's made Tito look like a journeyman. Tito's 36 and hasn't won since he was 32. Two totally different calibre of fighters.
