Ill never forget the first fight with him and garcia just throwing absolute fucking bombs at each other at a relentless pace in wec. I was so excited and jacked up watching that fight…instant fan for life, never missed another fight of his. TKZ forever!!

I’ve watched fighting since UFC 1 and KZ is the only fighter I can remember who clearly was winning the fight and had the judges decision ready to go in his favor but he said fuck it and just started throwing bombs and Ricardo Lamas caught him with that crazy upward elbow with 1 second left.
Had KZ simply fought boring, he would have won the fight, but I know that fight would easily be forgotten.
The fact KZ went for it and risked it all for the fans entertainment, that’s not lost on me at all and it’s one of the few times a fighter lost, yet my respect for him as a fighter grew immensely.
KZ wanted to influence fans with the way he was as a martial artist, and I know he did and for that I am greatful. Ooooos
