I don't know if it was a work. If two guys go into a fight and agree to just wrestle but still do it competitively, no predetermined outcome... do you call that a work? I wouldn't call it that.
On the negative side is about two minutes in during that armbar attempt they were talking to one another a lot.
If that was a work it was very well done.
HOLLYWOOD-MO - Who cares what their backgrounds are.
Gee, I guess I would say "real MMA fans trying to analyze fights with any degree of detail of accuracy," but that's just a guess.
Brock's background is collegiate wrestling. Jacare's background is pure Judo/Bjj. Both those guys punched their opponents.
So the fuck what? The fact that two fighters who come from grappling backgrounds threw punches on the ground during their fights hardly means that a fight which features two grapplers not throwing punches is suspicious. Do you seriously think that Brock Lesnar punching people is evidence that Tokoro and Nakamura had a fake fight? LOL.
You think these guys are uncomfortable punching their opponents because they come from submission wrestling backgrounds??
LOL@you having to add in the word "uncomfortable," which I didn't use, to try and make "two grapplers from styles which do not allow punches on the ground grappling and not punching each other" seem ridiculous or incorrect.
Daisuke Nakamura = U-FILE/UWF, no punches to the head on the ground.
Hideo Tokoro = ZST, no punches to the head on the ground.
Daisuke Nakamura vs. Hideo Tokoro = MMA fight with no punches to the head on the ground.
Your argument is the equivalent of claiming that two kickboxers had a worked MMA fight because they didn't attempt any wrestling or submissions in it. "But Hunt tried a kimura on Fedor, that other fight MUST have been fake!"
lol at that being a "work".

You sound like a super mark for pro wrestling. Grow up bro. Shit is not real despite how much you want it to be. Yes, RINGS was worked as well (before final tournament)...and Karelin did not really "fight" Akira Maeda. Please grow up.

LMFAO! What a sophisticated reply. Yes, because two fighters from style backgrounds that don't allow punching on the ground didn't punch on the ground, the fight must be a work. Anyone who argues otherwise is a blind pro-wrestling fan who thinks a totally different fight that everyone knows wasn't real WAS. Just LOL@that stupid shit.
You're a dumbass and you have nothing else to offer other than D-grade internet flaming even at this early stage in the discussion. Funny that you're telling other people to "grow up" while refusing to respond to the substance of what they're saying, huh? ;)
If they worked that fight then Tokoro would've won.
