Tonight heralded the end of the UFC's reign over combat sports

No more being held hostage to a bunch of blood sucking leeches, the fighters now have a better option than the parasitic wage structure of the UFC.
All of the issues of boring ground fighting, lay and prey, wall and stall, dry humping and everything else associated with the UFC has been addressed tonight.
We finally have the real alternative to boxing and MMA and it’s BKFC.

the other thing that the UFC needs to address is the 5 minute round bullshit.
Humans aren’t designed to go full bore for 5 minutes straight.
3 minutes max.

BKFC has buried the last billion UFC cards. The UFC is going off of a cliff

like your IQ.

I really want there to be legitimate competition for the ufc in fight sports. If fighters can actually use free agency to bargain it will help fighter pay more than anything else.

That said I’m not sure bkfc is it but seems to be gathering steam

The UFC needs to go back to stacking cards if they want to compete with this.

Seems to me like they stack one every three or so. Like 290. Then the next couple of ppvs suffer

hahaha

Why do that when they can just pretend it’s the best thing ever and charge top dollar for women and no namers to fight to an early stoppage

i was thinking about this very subject, realised i don’t give a fuck about that ufc card. straight up pants.

the bkfc was much more exciting to investigate, but remember that not every card is this interesting. it’s the ufc/established mma names that made the show appealing. bkfc needs to import stars; although the ufc has faltered, it is still needed to generate the fighter name-value

Dana is 5 steps ahead of you buddy.

You think a good BKFC card heralded the end of the UFC’s reign? Give me a break. Thread will not age well, even if BKFC continues to grow and do well.

How much lay and “prey” do you see on an average UFC card these days? You think a few aging MMA fighters on the brink of retirement doing some bare knuckle fights is somehow the end of MMA?

Why follow MMA if you can’t handle what you perceive as the boring ground fighting?

I don’t get it, people just into boxing are just into boxing and people just into wrestling are just into wrestling but neither group complains about the other community. Some UFC fans are weird. Seems they watch MMA to complain about the ground fighting or what they regard as the boring kickboxing or whatever, fill in the blank. People watch the sports and promotions they enjoy, nobody forces anyone to watch the UFC yet they somehow keep growing.

Because we lose interest. We have been losing interest already

The natural progression is fights to the death. The first company that can pull it off will be the next UFC.

Will never happen thanks to the ESPN partnership. They’re obligated to put on too many shows per year so they have to water them down sadly

Where have you been? BKFC has been killing it for awhile now. But I’ve never seen their fighter payouts.

UFC may not be the A side too much longer if this keeps up. Their fight nights are irrelevant. All the UFC’s biggest stars were in attendance at BKFC… goes to show these watered down filler cards are a non factor in the combat sports world.

Dana needs nip this in the bud now and shut down the momentum of BKFC and announce Jon Jones vs Stipe asap or risk critical loss of WME’s combat sports market share.

To each his own. I find BK the same as regular boxing. Maybe 1 in 4 fights is good. In the ufc it’s like 1 in 2.
