Pettis has looked great lately and has improved, but I don't think he could beat the Frankie Edgar that was champ at 155.
I think Pettis is a very bad matchup for Edgar. The same way Aldo was a bad matchup for Edgar. Edgar's biggest advantage is his quickness/speed but Pettis is quicker/faster.
before anyone responds, thread title should say "Frankie Edgar" ...
Benson made the mistake of fighting in the wrong/incorrect range against an opponent like Pettis. He was in kicking range for Pettis. Frankie is a great in and out fighter. He's better than Benson at that.

I'd like to see Frankie challenge Pettis for the belt. He can definitely beat him.
Great matchup, it will happen by 2015. If it happens in 2012 or earlier, Frankie all day; but now I'd call it 50/50 and can't wait to see it. 
Pettis would knock him out.
