Trying to get ufc coverage in my local newspaper

I'm sending out an email to my newspaper about their lack of ufc coverage and I was wondering if ufc had a 'press release' obtainable that lists the numbers ufc events do, viewers..etc? Phone Post

I had this same thought. Having the results of events would definitely help draw interest to the sport. At least keep some buzz going. Phone Post

Television ratings and viewers are readily available at sites like MMAJunkie and MMA Payout's Blue Book. The UFC has had press releases touting ratings before, but they usually come from the network (Spike TV, FOX, etc.).

MMA Payout also has pay-per-view numbers, the overwhelming majority of the time using the Wrestling Observer Newsletter as a source.

You can find pretty much everything you're looking for in those three, though you need a subscription to view the Observer. Phone Post

The fans do get all the numbers via numerous sites but the average sports fan doesn't get exposed to the virility of the sport. I think this would help mainstream the acceptance and legitimacy of MMA as a true sport, rather than a fringe movement of bloodthirsty savages.

Unfortunately all readers get are the stories of MMA fighters misrepresenting the sport. Jon Jones stopping that robber was great PR but a like the recent manslaughter outside the bar only puts a black stain on "cage fighting" jmo Phone Post
