<p>Some people say you don't truly hold the championship belt until you have defended it. By any standard, Joanna Jedrzejczyk is a UFC champion, and her fan base grew Saturday in Berlin as she systematically battered Jessica Penne, stopping the challenger in just under three rounds.</p>

I wonder if JJ could be a star or if casuals need a "good looking girl" to get behind.
I think she has that special something, if they build the Karate Hottie, PVZ and Rose up and have JJ beat them up on big fox cards or under a big title fight on PPV. People tune in to see the cute MMA girl and end up watching their faces get clawed by the Joannaraptor.
Successful business model IMO, if any of them happen to beat her, then UFC has another hot girl as champ which is what they originally wanted anyway with Rose.

Its just the fight night excitement talking. Kinda like everytime a new prospect wins looking stylish Joe Rogan is like "Holy f*ck the next Anderson Silva!"
Also, she could have finished Penne earlier but was enjoying wrecking her face too much. After she broke the nose she kept targeting it. Very brutal, a bit disturbing and all around good entertainment
Honda over JJ as a dominant champion imo, since she has a faster finishing tool in the armbar as well as decent striking and knees. It takes longer to pummel an opponent to TKO/KO by striking alone.
