On last weeks Heavy Hands Podcast Tyron Woodley was on to talk about his upcoming fight with Hendricks. It was a great interview because Tyron really seemed comfortable with Conor and Patrick.

The most interesting thing Tyron said was how he usually waits to train at AKA during the last 2 weeks of his training camp because its the closest thing to a real fight you can get. Tyron said if you spar at 50% at AKA you will most definitely get KNocked Out.
Tyron also praised Duke Roufus for being one of the best trainers hes ever worked with. He plans to start his camp with Duke and finish it at ATT.
AKA or ATT ?
I'm confused.
But also, I get that some people wanna spar hard, but isn't any risk of getting knocked out two weeks before a fight completely retarded? Or did I misinterpret
That's the best way to train but it will shorten your career. Hard sparring has been proven to be a success in boxing and mma but you will be shot younger
King Of All Tenors - AKA or ATT ?
AKA.
Tyron primarily trains at ATT but has trained at AKA in the past. Now he trains with both Duke and ATT

... Except boxers just punch...and most boxers while sparring wear head gear and body guards....Plus with the big gloves - how many punches sneak through and land with any kind of real concussive force in sparrings? The environment in boxing allows for guys to go all out in a safer way. Its not realy applicable to MMA. How many MMA fighters even wear protective gear when sparring? MMA fighters cant even take that basic first step.
Conor McGregor is the only fighter to really nail it and perfect how MMA training should be like IMO. His focus on skill/technique/repetition drills on technique/ studying general tactics/hard sparring with protective gear/lots of light sparring just focusing on skill/movement etc. Conor is always in terrific lean shape. Conor is really the only one in MMA who i have seen who has that lean strong functional boxers body type. Conor is always in shape and is always prepared with no injuries ever suffered during training. Conor has only ever suffered 2 injuries in his whole career. Knee in a fight. Knee in a freak off the cuff rolling session with Rory that was never plannrd. Like I said, I feel like only Conor has really nailed it for MMA

I'm disappointed by Thiaguys lack of love for Shogun these days. It's as if he didn't really love him in the first place.
Also, he seems to have reduced his use of double spacing.
