UFC 92 on NYE in vegas did around 1m buys and had a gate of 3.5m...  Rashad Evans vs Rampage in vegas which pulled around 1m buys had a gate of 3.9m...  the gate for this event has already surpassed both of them and those events happened during the "peak" years.

im not saying this event will do 1m buys... but there's no need to cry about the gate - it will be a very good number.

Shhhhh the UFC is dying, lol Phone Post 3.0

Shill replying to a shill. Isn't that against the Zuffa employee code of conduct?

If dutch didn't agree with him, no one would... Phone Post 3.0

UFC 92 was in 2008.

Unsure how an event from 6 years ago is relevant?

That aside, source on this event already passing 3.5 million at the door?

Best way to get a cheap seat for Saturday? Phone Post 3.0

Carlos_Kent - Nobody gives a shit about the UFC anymore. They killed their brand by watering it down. Not only did they water it down they priced the casual fans out too.

Nobody goes to work the next day and stands around the water cooler talking about the UFC. Back when Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell were fighting they did.

You are such an idiot you don't even realize what you just said.

So those arenas sold out and did those numbers but this arena can't sell out and still do those numbers? What does that tell you, it tells you that the ufc has obviously jacked up the price like crazy. That isn't a good thing. Phone Post 3.0

They'd rather have 500 fans paying $1000 instead of 10,000 fans paying $50. Doesn't grow the sport, but it does bleed the fuck out of the fans still willing to pay for your overpriced product and give the illusion everything is ok... Because as long as the owners of Zuffa make money, everything is good right? Right? Phone Post 3.0

If it ain't dutch is just as bad.

The one good thing that comes with having multiple known shills is you get a good laugh when they quote each other talking about how smart the other one is, while there's 80 posts from 80 people calling them morans... Phone Post 3.0

Wow. Seats I paid $100 for at UFC 40 are now $500 plus.

Been to a few since, but wouldn't be paying well over a grand to take the wife as well.

Bingo

Prices are too expensive for an average consumer, so they're geting "priced out" of events they would attend if prices were more reasonable.

ouch

-D0DG3R D0GG13- - I have family in Mezico city and was offered to be flown over there for free seats.

Douchebag coke heads fly in snow to Las Vegas rather than promote individual fighters and want to bring in loser ass fake wrestling fans because they spend their money on stupid shit anyway.

Offer a $50,000,000 cash prize to have anyone in the NFL MLB (the 100 boxing Orgs) even MLS fuckit just spend that money to have anyone fight The Top UFC fighter and stop making up for time lost with your kids.

If you're investing money owed on your kids than retire and let someone else do your job to stop wasting people's time.

Use to watch most the pvps with a few buddies of mine. Haven't done that in years really. I know of one person that follows UFC anymore and he just casually follows at best & thats only cause some of the people that hit his gym also do mma ( he is a boxing trainer )
Yep.

Used to be a ravenous UFC consumer since 1994.

We had parties for PPV's up until about 3 years ago. Then we started hosting something "only for the good cards."

Eventually we stopped getting together. Phone Post 3.0

I'm shocked that people are surprised by this.

It comes from a guy who against the very thing that saved their asses, ie TUF. You can't expect too much when you're dealing with someone who's just swinging for the fences and cares only about the brand.

The UFC NEEDS to have less cards...stacked cards...create drama/stories behind the fighters. Some fighters need to be heels...they need to be characters.

It's been coming down around them year after year and their answer is: more cards, higher ppv prices and higher ticket prices. The shit isn't working...it's obvious.

Dana and Co need to listen to the fans.

My group never missed a PPV from 2004 - 2010. Then the quality started going to hell. Last one we got together for was Sonnen v. Silva 1 in Long Beach.

No one cares anymore.

I don't think i would ever pay to go to a live event. Got to corner a buddy in the ufc a few times, then went to a card he wasn't on. Sat in the nosebleeds, watching the fights on the screen above the cage, no commentary other than drunk bros all around. I'd less than I would to watch at home on ppv. Phone Post 3.0
