Being on a UFC Live is a precarious place for many UFC fighters. If you are not on a PPV, it is often because the UFC does not believe people will pay to see you compete. Half the people lose every fight, and for the ones who don't win, some will not just move down the rankings, they are out. MMAFighting's Ben Fowlkes put together a list of the fighters who most need a victory this Sunday.

Cheick Kongo
Who he's fighting: Pat Barry
Odds of getting cut: 4-1.

Matt Brown
Who he's fighting: John Howard
Odds of getting cut: even. If he loses on Sunday -- and if he's not related to someone important in the UFC front office -- he's getting cut.

John Howard
Who he's fighting: Matt Brown
Odds of getting cut: 5-1.

Tyson Griffin
Who he's fighting: Manvel Gamburyan
Odds of getting cut: 3-1.

Joe Stevenson
Who he's fighting: Javier Vazquez
Odds of getting cut: 2-1. If he doesn't win, wave goodbye to Joe "Daddy."

It's crazy to think MMA's gotten so good at the top level that guys like Tyson Griffin and Joe Stevenson, former top of the heap LWs in the UFC are facing the chopping block.

I agree. Its gotten crazy Phone Post

losing streaks my friend.

LW division is too competitive to keep guys that drop 3 and 4 fights in a row.

LOL at this nonsense. Kongo hasn't even lost in two fights, and is in the shallow heavyweight division. No way he loses this fight but even if he does, no way does he get cut.

I always enjoy watching Kongo fight, you're either gonna be entertained by his striking or laugh at his constant attempts to gain an unfair upper hand (knee to balls, holding shorts).

Kongo has no shot at getting cut.

Brown/Howard loser is out I think.

Griffin and Stevenson both have to win or get bounced.

Dan Hardy

Joe daddy is out with one more lost FOR SURE Kongo is good for one more loss. Also depending how Howard and brown go loser may be cut close call compared to others Phone Post

and if any of those guys put on the fight of their lives.... I mean fotn fight, one of those fights where you smile and go "wow"

then none of them will get cut imo

Nobody should get cut after one fight, especially when they were on a 3-fight winning streak. What kind of loyalty, financial security, and long-sightedness is that? That doesn't happen in other sports where you have one bad night and that's it. Bad match-ups, luck, nerves, or just being off, happens. It's not good for the organization or the fighters for cuts to be made so flippantly. Maybe if they weren't, fighters would be more relaxed early in their UFC careers and not so apt to lay and pray.

Kongo is not getting cut

Howard will prob get one more shot even w a loss

Brown is gone again with a loss

Griffin and Stevenson probably need a win but a good showing in a loss could keep them around

Kongo needs to stay regardless. He always makes for an exciting fight.

Nahhhhhhhh

sometimes....not always...
Kongo vs Barry is going to blow. Kongo is going to lay and pray Barry. I don't think they're both willing to stand and trade with one another.

I hope Joe wins, Javier can be a real asshole.

Vitor and Paula Miranda greatly appreciate all the kind thoughts and prayers. Just to know that so many people are taking a minute to pray for their son Igor helps. They know that they are not alone, that we are all with them in spirit.

Cmon weekend
