LAS VEGAS, February 3, 2004....The Ultimate Fighting
Championship‚ brand of mixed martial arts will start
DVD distribution of three of its most recent fight
shows, UFC‚ 43: Meltdown and UFC‚ 44: Undisputed on
February 10 and UFC‚ 45: Revolution on April 20, in
major retail outlets and e-commerce in North America.
Both are two-hour, action-packed live fight shows that
include fights, never-before-seen behind-the-scenes
bonus material and play-by-play in both Spanish and
English.
UFC 43: Meltdown took place June 6 at the Thomas &
Mack Center in Las Vegas and features former Light
Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture's stunning upset of
top contender Chuck Liddell for the interim light
heavyweight title. The under card is stacked with
such UFC stars as Tank Abbott, Kimo, Vitor Belfort,
Frank Mir, Yves Edwards and Ian Freeman.
UFC 44: Undisputed, held September 26 at Mandalay Bay
in Las Vegas, re-lives Couture's dominating victory
over Tito Ortiz for the undisputed championship. The
co-main event is a battle of giants as 6'8", 260-pound
then reigning Heavyweight Champ Tim Sylvia defends his
title against 6'10", 260-pound challenger Gan McGee.
The under card features rising UFC stars Rich
Franklin, Andrei Arlovski, Hermes Franca and Josh
Thomson, a total of nine fights.
UFC 45: Revolution, held November 22 at the Mohegan
Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., features former
Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes' tap out victory
over highly regarded Frank Trigg. The co-main event
is a battle of big punchers as legend Tank Abbott
takes on brawler Cabbage Correira. The under card
features UFC stars Robbie Lawler, Phil Baroni, Evan
Tanner and Matt Lindland.
