Dodson won all his UFC FLW fights that didn’t involve Johnson. Same can be said for Cejudo and Horiguchi.
Pettis beat Benavidez before he moved up to BW and then went to Bellator.
Dodson is back at FLW now in RIZIN. So is Horiguchi. Cejudo is up at BW in the UFC.
Askarov has left the promotion and returned to ACA in Russia and has a draw with former champ Moreno and a win over current champ Pantoja.
Figueiredo just moved up and beat a top 10 BW after he lost the FLW title.
When a promotion’s division loses all the best champs and challengers to other promotions and another weight class its hard to be as interested in the title picture when those fighters are not retired but just competing in other talent pools.
UFC FLW has lost more of its top talent to other promotions and weight classes more than any other division.
Pantoja vs Royval is a hard sell as a title fight.
I understand when say Pettis just wants to move up in weight but its terrible how we never got to see if Johnson could regain that UFC belt and set the title defense record.
