Stephan Bonnar vs. Eric Schafer
That said, I’m picking Bonnar to win inside the distance in what should be a hard fought affair. Bonnar looked good against Nickels this past July in his first fight back after his steroid suspension. Now working out of heavyweight champ Randy Couture’s gym as well as with Muay Thai specialist “Master” Toddy in Vegas, Bonnar seems to be serious about making a run in the division.

Yushin Okami vs. Jason MacDonald
"If both fighters look to work their strengths off the bat we could have an interesting ground battle with Okami looking to do damage from inside of MacDonald’s guard and “The Athlete” working to catch him in a submission as he did with Chris Leben and Ed Herman. But if they are too wary of each other’s strong points a cautious or sloppy stand up fight could ensue. "

Jorge Gurgel vs. Alvin Robinson
"Robinson should be able to test out the stand up portion of the fight and stay off of his back. From there he can selectively opt to take the fight to the ground and if he’s careful he might be able to land a couple of strikes before standing up and away from Gurgel. "
