UFC real fighter ages?

Forrest Griffin admitted to lying by 2 years on his age so did Sylvia.

Kinda think the old days of ufc probably used age like, nba uses height.

I remember thinking in the old days that arlovksi  and mir looked old for his listed age, so did BJ

so without further ado some guys I think were a little more long in the the tooth than listed

Stephen Bonnar, similiar to forrest guessing 2 or 3 years older than his listed age

Frank Mir, always though mir was telling a girl story about age.

Jose Aldo, looks late 30's, slowed down alot in late 20's which is abnormal

GSP, no collegiate career, to really pin down age, came from era, were they were looking for a young hero, decline came early, looks and moves way old for 36

BJ PEnn, is whole career everyone was saying he looks old for that age, maybe there is something behind it

Francis Ngannou-who knows looks ancient for 31, to the point other fighters are talking about it

Noguiera brothers, look 5 years older than there listed age, people that are there ages even call them old timers.

Remeber claiming youth has many perks, everyone likes a young guy that will be around for a long timw

How is an American with a driver license gonna lie to the athletic commission about their age? This isn’t 1940

Also, most people on that list literally block punches with their face as a form of defense. The fucking ref from the rocky movies would have stopped some of the fights those masochists went through

I think some people underestimate the extent of last-minute age cutting in the current MMA scene.  Someone like a Ngannou usually walks around close to 40 when out of camp, but by fight night has reached something closer to his listed age via nutrition and a special undectable IV contraption that's kind of similar to an advanced, space-age colostomy bag.

Some say the biggest danger of age cutting is going too far and ending up in the ring as an untrained pubescent 15 year-old or something like that.  On the other hand, occasionally you see something like when BJ Penn got his dosages wrong and actually fought Edgar as a 63 year-old, which explains the weird old-timey tippy-toe technique he applied in that losing effort.

I remember when Marco Ruas simply wouldn’t give his age in his first UFC appearance.

he moved like an old dude he had crows feet like an old dude.

I met him in 96 when he was hanging with joe morreira and marco looked old then.

Francis looks old but that could be a hardlife but black ages well and he looks 47.

GSP just won the middleweight champion of the world a few months ago. When was this "decline" exactly?

Shortly after the Aliens abducted him

my deepest apologies. It took me the better part of 5 minutes to craft those 4 sentences, and I can only imagine how long it took you to read.

No way that Ruas was mid-late 40’s in UFC 7. He looked closer to mid-late 30’s, and i would say he was probably 37-38. Im sure someone here has a better idea with some facts, I’m just guessing.

Ruas is listed on Wikipedia as 57 now

shit im in better shape now than in my 20s.

He looked old as fk he didnt move like a guy in his 30s.

Trust me theres a good chance he was in his 40s.

Ron Van CLief didn’t give a crap , he is 75 now (maybe oldest guy to enter the ring?)
