They offered the fight to nick but he never called back
Lombard takes it
Cool fight. Not sure who id pick
easily the most exciting matchup for either guy. hope nick accepts
PrestigeWorldwide - They offered the fight to nick but he never called back
Nick said he was interested, sounds like the UFC never followed through by giving him a contract for the fight.
Seems like Dana is again trying to use the media to made Diaz look scared and sign up for the fight instead of being a professional and just offering him a contract with the time/place
Interesting fight, hope it happens
Nick Diaz doesn't want this fight, he deserves a shot at the belt.

Lol at this. This is like someone applying for a job, the employer offering the job, the applicant saying they are interested, but then never following up or calling the employer back. It's not the UFCs job to do that. If nick doesn't want the fight, he can go swimming and Dana will call one of the other 80 ww's on the roster. Diaz fans are loony

Thank you. I'm tired of everyone blaming Dana when first of all, they have no idea what actually went down and second, the Diaz bros are known for doing stupid shit like this. Whoever is giving these dipshits advise needs to be fired.

It's the UFC's job to forward/Fax/mail a fight contract for Diaz sign. Also, you gotta come up with a better analogy than a job interview, fighters aren't even employees.
Nick, it won't be easy. But I will always pick 209, bitches.
guardbr8kr - Nick Diaz doesn't want this fight, he deserves a shot at the belt.
2 serious questions. What makes you say he "deserves" it and how many title shots in a row do you think nick should get? He's clearly received 2 in a row and lost them both. So how many? 4, 5, 8? If he keeps losing, should they just keep giving them to him?
I think Dana should offer nick zero to show and $1m to win these title shots. Guarantee he'd turn it down. He knows he can't beat the top 5-7 guys, as evidenced by the fact he's scared to try and work his way up to a title shot. It's why he keeps playing games and tries to talk himself into a title shot or Anderson fight. He wants to get paid off the popularity and talent of others because he knows he can't do it in his own.

The analogy makes perfect sense. Same shit if it's a contracted job offered by someone. If the IC (Diaz in this case) is interested, he needs to put on his big boy pants and pick up the phone and say he's interested. The point is the UFC has many options and will go on if nick never fights again. Nick can't go anywhere else as he's under contract.
time traveling 12er -This
Knowing the Diaz bros. and how they operate, you guys are really assuming that the UFC is the one that dropped the ball on this?
creepymcfinger - Lombard takes iteasily imo

Lets just see a fight again.
Diaz bros have something wrong In their heads, yes they are big names, yes they are entertaining but that doesn't mean they can just do what they want! If I was Dana this situation would be real simple for me, keep them under contract never ask them to fight let the muppets ring me asking me , let these guys make no money at all ! The guys are morons who think they can do what they want! Hector would have destroyed him
I would love to see this fight go down.
I would love to have hot, raunchy sex with Kate Upton.
Ain't neither gonna happen.
