TTB for the USKBA which rescheduled this event twice and fucked my calendar all to hell.
Stuff happens - hope the amateur MMA event gets approved.
Posting so I can keep track of the thread to see if the Amateur mma gets approved

Just to set the record straight, this IS NOT the USKBA ACTION SPORTS Tournament that was cancelled. Although the event is USKBA Action Sports Sanctioned, there are four promoters that will be responsible for the Submission Grappling Tournament, the Amateur Full Contact Kickboxing, Thaiboxing, San Da and Continuous Contact events and the Amateur MMA event. The only tournament that will take place is in Submission Grappling. All the other action sports will have set matches.
It was unfortunate that our 2007 Tournament did not happen. Much money and effort (on the part of competitors and the USKBA) went into rescheduling the event to have it happen. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. All competitors that had sent in their paperwork and fees, are being issued refunds and special discounts for next year's tournament.
This post is not meant to hijack this thread, but to 'set the record straight' about this event... the "ACTION SPORTS CHALLENGE 1". This will be a great event for multiple action sports and all competitors and fighters. The promoters are doing their best to see that it is.

As one of the promoters who was involved in the tournament that was cancelled, I can tell you plainly, it was the LAST thing I wanted to see happen. I had spent money printing, mailing and promoting the event. I look forward to the annual event. But events beyond our control (I think in insurance they are called "acts of G'd" or something?) sort of KO'ed us this year....
Stuff happens.....
At least this event is a chance to compete. As of today we've already made matches in Full Contact Kickboxing, Muay Thai and San Da

I'm starting to get confused. Is this the same event listed for Dec 15th in Rahway on the acom sports webpage or are there two amateur USKBA even in Rahway on the same night?
This is a DOUBLE event. The Daytime will feature Muay Thai, San da and Full contact kickboxing. As well as a really good Submission Grappling tournament.
The nighttime will feature amateur mma.
Daytime show is $20
Night time event is $35 for general admission, $50 for ringside.
If you want to see all the events, its $45. That will get you the daytime event and a General admission seat @ the night time event. It's gonna be awesome
Appreciate the clarification. Sounds like a blast.
