Valentina Shevchenko since defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk has defended the UFC flyweight title six times. Amanda Serrano is the world champion, having held the title since 2019; the title since February 2021; and the title since March 2021. She is the only female, and Puerto Rican, to win world titles in more than four weight classes.
After Serrano’s last win against Miriam Gutierrez the rivalry between Valentina Shevchenko and Amanda Serrano has begun to heat up. Amanda stated on Twitter she will fight Shevchenko if Dana White meets Jake Paul’s demands.
Both women are not just the best at their particular discipline they are great at fighting outside their respective sports. Amanda Serrano has 2 submission wins in MMA and Valentina has many kickboxing matches before coming to the UFC.

Is a battle between these two mega stars on the horizon or is this just a fantasy MMA vs boxer super fight? We have seen Claressa Shileds loose in MMA and Conor Mcgregor do the same go to boxing and loose. Women’s boxing and woman’s MMA are at the point where they are both widely known and incredibly popular. Is a female super fight going to become the next big thing and if it is, is Amanda Serrano and Valentina Shevchenko the women to do it?
Both born in 1988, Valentina being only 7 months older. Two southpaws and two incredible strikers on the feet this would be a war. Could Amanda Serrano get the point where she can challenge Shevchenko in all aspects of martial arts? That is a different question.
