Vanderlei PISSING AWAY Money

fwiw Andersons recent house purchase was written about by Yahoo Sports. He bought a place in Palos Verdes. $2MM definitely doesnt get a "mansion" in PV.

Sources also say that instead of pre-packaged meats, he buys from the meat counter! The meat counter!

Also, the spending does not stop there. Apparently, Wandy, while in line to pay, added 2-3 impulse items to his cart such as Big Red gum and a Snickers bar.

More to come as this story develops....

WheresBobbySouthworth - From what I gathered of Sonnen's real estate fraud, it was beneficial to his clients too and a common activity. I don't think it's all that evil. People act like he did something terrible.
Fraud is fraud; he's a felon.  He also didn't even fight it; he plea bargained it.  It's not evil as in "kill someone"; but he's a convicted felon and a liar, and a cheat, and a failed politician..........those are facts.

Sean The Saint - LOL at Chael Sonnen. Wanderlei lives about 4 blocks from me in a $400,000 house. I have been there many times. His Aston Martin was about $120,000 3 years ago when he got it. It is a tax write off because it advertises his business... His gym pulls in a very good amount of money, not to mention both he AND his gym are sponsored entities by a dozen companies.

Chael is just jealous because he had to become a CRIMINAL to make money in real estate and politics. Wanderlei has been making big money since he first walked into the PRIDE ring. Wanderlei owns multiple businesses and doesn't screw honest people out of their money for his own gain, unlike Sonnen. Truth is, Wanderlei makes enough to buy a new house every time he fights, Chael wishes he could....
Good God...

Someone vote this man up.

Another little number for the mix: Wandy & Andy's show money is more than enough for a down payment on such a house, even in (HeL)L A(y). The convicted real estate felon should know that.

People use the words "write-off" like it means it's free and he doesn't have to pay for it himself.

Not, it doesn't, at least that's not the plan for these frauds, eventually. They pocked the extra cash, default on the loan, seek government aid and shelters, declare bankruptcy, and the people end up paying for it whether when the bank passes the burden onto shareholders, or the government bails the bank out.

You make it sound like the guys Sonnen was working with intended to keep the property and some day pay it off through hard work and diligence.

It is a business vehicle, paid for by his business. I am not sure if they paid for it or financed it; either way, his business is paying for it. I do know that he and his wife LEASE a BMW for themselves, as well...is that completely irrational, too? $400 payments when he makes 100 times that when he fights? You guys are ridiculous.

Its his money, who cares?

The point is he was defrauding the bank when he claimed the house needed repairs that it didn't- that meant the underwriter was loaning the buyer extra money for those repairs. Extra money that was of course going right into the pockets of the buyer as an incentive to buy, which is where Chael benefits (and some siphoned to the famil business) and ultimately the buyer defaults on the loan and taxpayers get to wonder they're having to bail out the banks. Again.

Pretty much anyone in there 30s-40s that works in a trade lives in a 2mil house.

Wandys holding back, he could spend and afford a lot more. Phone Post

Get why its a crime yet?

EvilMaster - I still can't believe that Tyson went through so much money. That's gotta be a record.

In his documentary, Tyson said it could have been any amount, and it wouldn't have mattered.

who do you think bails out the banks these guys rip off?

Yeah, it's a crime, but it was a regularly occurring activity apparently for realtors. He just got caught on it. People bring it up like he's some evil son of a bitch. I know some douchebags that use the law to pad their own pockets through bullshit lawsuits. Shit like that bothers me way more and people don't get caught or in trouble for it.

I'm sure you'd have no problem If Chael stole $16k from you. Right? <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

How was he stealing from you or I?

Um, this is the UG where Chael Sonnen is a white collar criminal who's committed acts tantamount to Enron but Aleks Emelianenko and Lee Murray are totally badass because

Personally, I think Anderson Silva stole from people more than Sonnen did. People paid 50 bucks to watch him vs Cote, Maia, and Leites. The guy clearly goofed off in there and took his sweet time, instead of fighting at 100%, which is assumedly what most people paid their hard-earned dollars for.

buying a nice car and a good house is not "pissing away" money its using the money he fought hard for over many years in a fairly sensible way, especally considering that he also has a gym that will be bringing in good money

ChokeEmOut - Yeah, a place to live and a car. Goddamn this Wanderlei is out of control. <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Very funny and also completely true.

$2 mil is a nice house in la. Not a mansion. Phone Post
