Brandon Vera

"I’m pissed, I’m really pissed, but the sport of MMA, she, MMA, is a b---h and if you let it go to the judges, you let it out of your hands, you know? So, I’m going to take the blame for this loss. I’m going to man up.

I should have finished it. I had a couple of opportunities to during the fight that I should have finished it. I’m super happy I got to fight Randy Couture, my hero, my legend, and let the rest of the light heavyweight division know that I’m going to whip you’re a-- if you get into the Octagon with me."

Randy Coture

"You just never know. We've seen this in the past already." Couture told Rogan after the fight. "You just don't know what the judges are looking at and how they see the fight. And that's what ultimately, in a close fight like this, determines the decision."

---

"I wouldn’t have been terribly disappointed had the decision gone the other way. I was very impressed with Brandon.

I had to kind of shift gears. (Vera) definitely got my attention in the second round. I was protecting my head and he kicked me square in the ribs… I think he moved my heart with that shot."

both of them should have get a loss in their record.

it is not like Vera did all that much to win the fight, he landed a couple extra shots and defended takedowns for 90% of the fight..... do something

Draw.

ist hard to fight when you have to defend the take down the whold fight, which he did. randy couldnt take vera down, i think randy is the one who made the fight boring. i think vera clearly one the fight.

IMO, Vera won the fight, while Couture won the match. That is...Vera clearly inflicted more damage on Randy than vice versa (with the body kicks he landed in the 2nd and 3rd rounds). But I think Randy won the first and third rounds on points. Randy won R1 simply through octagon control and the fact that Vera wasn't able to mount any sort of offense. And I think Randy managed to steal the third round with his flurries.

Thank you for editing the words "bitch" and "ass", if mine eyes laid upon such words, I surely would have grabbed my dads deer rifle and climbed a water tower.

Randy = class

If Randy won that fight then Uno beat Fisher much more convincingly...

How do you get the win when the other guy stops you from doing what you want to do throughout the fight and delivers more punishment?

Good post

I thoguth Vera won all randy did was push Vera to the fence thats it

is vera the first guy that randy hasnt been able to take down??yep, its pretty hard to FIGHT when you have a top wrestler just cliunching and pushing you into the fence...it was quite obvious that randys gameplan wasnt working in the 2nd round but he had no other choice...it was a terrible fight and randy should apologize for wasting our time...

where do you go with randy and vera now??neither won the fight....

Everyone at my house thought Randy won. I wasn't the least bit surprised.

Same here. It wasn't pretty, but Randy controlled Vera enough in Rounds 1 and 3 to win the fight.

Info clearly bet some money on Vera to win.

Why is judging criteria still a mystery that no one in power is willing to address? Keeping everyone in the dark gives the appearance of deceit. As the main organization in MMA, the UFC needs to take a lead role in straightening this issue out. If not, ethics will increasingly be questioned.

Randy vs Vera had everything in it, Takedown attempts.........Ummm a good body kick....The beautiful Arianne!!!

Its not like Vera had it on lock when the bell ended.

Yeah, he coulda won but def not a slam dunk.

inf0 - Randy should do MMA a favour and retire. Nobody wants to see his gay hug sessions.

Lol you are an idiot and bitter about your small penis.
