did he wrestle for the air force full time. I got the impression from another thread that he did and spent time at the OTC. If so, a truly well rounded fighter. I think guys like this are the future of the sport though hes a bit small for heavywieght.

Vera was at one time a top 5 or so greco roman wrestler and trained with the likes of Rulan Gardner and Randy Couture at the Olympic Traning Center.
Damn, almost like a Mike Van Arsdale with better striking. I think he has the tools to be a serious contender.
