In February 1996 Jay R. Palmer made his NHB* debut at the FutureBrawl 3, open weight tournament in Honolulu Hawaii.

That was back in the day when you thought people could die in NHB fights.

Jay R was a real scrapper. I'd be scared as hell fighting those big as dudes at 165lbs. Watching him stomp the shit outta Maurice Corty was scary.

Even though Danny Boy Bennet had knocked him out twice by the time I got to him, I was still pissing my pants at the prospect of fighting Jay R. Palmer.

Proof that you could be a total spaz and by sheer attitude  and physical attributes, beat people more skilled than you.

I always enjoyed watching him lose. It was generally a triumph for technique.
