Let’s hope this is an indication of things to come.
Newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture (15-8 MMA, 12-5 UFC), who won a five-round unanimous decision over former champ Tim Sylvia (23-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) at UFC 68 this past Saturday, recently appeared on ESPN. The UFC Hall of Famer talked about the event, his own career and the recent growth of the organization.

The (mostly fluff) piece included highlights of Saturday’s main event, including Couture’s initial punch that dropped Sylvia.
As ESPN host Josh Elliott stated:
“There’s coming out of retirement as a glorified role player. And then there’s coming out of retirement to fight a man six inches taller than you, 40 pounds heavier than you, and 13 years younger than you.”
Randy Couture is bar none the best spokesperson for MMA. The guy is articulate, chrismatic, and has a down to earth quality that really shows on camera.
Even when he is absolutely done with fighting, I think he has bright future in the sport because he's a great interview.

almost makes you feel bad for the big goof, but he really fought like a bum... definately didn't show anything that even resembles the heart of a champion in that fight.
