Snoozeman is a disgrace to wrestling. Does no damage and literally stalls the entire fight. Wall and stall snoozeman gave us a goodnight fight by putting us to sleep.

Wrestlers can be pretty fun to watch. See Colby or Khabib fights. Wall and stall isn’t very fun…
That was an abomination.
And he didn’t even destroy Masvidal in the wrestling. His takedowns sucked so he reverted to clinch and wall and stall.

I call Usman the Black GSP. Both very high I.Q. fighters that will fight a safe fight to win. Whoever that put down $200K against him is a fool, and I even said this right before the fight.

I think Randy got Tim Sylvia in a bad position at the start of round 1 and stalled out the entire round from a dominant position. He had some clunkers for sure.
This is the sort of fighting St. Pierre started getting away with. There was a streak of boring nonsense, just straight stalling. Fitch, Woodley, now Usman, we've seen this garbage before. Grab, hold, clinch, molest, waste time and just do whatever it takes to avoid standing toe to toe. With wrestlers like this there is no toe to toe, everything they do is to avoid the fight. If you throw in grabbing the fence, headbutting, and pulling on the gloves, foot stomps, he did literally everything he could to avoid a fight.
Very few viewers respect that, and no person with any sanity will ever pay to watch Usman fight again because they know they're going to get cheated out of their money and watch some bullshit.

This. I’m shocked people are saying that is like a GSP performance.
Take away the actual takedowns, high level grappling and better ground striking and then I would agree. Which means take away everything GSP did well in his worst fights and he would look like Usman tonight.
Early GSP was exciting. After the first Serra fight, he became Mr. Cautious.

That wasn’t a fight. That was a guy in a cage trying to avoid a fight. Truly a disgrace to mma and even more of an insult to wrestlers who actually wanna apply the art to fighting. This is just pure stalling

I think you didn’t watch that fight.
Randy landed a bomb and dropped Tim, took his back and then fought the rest of the round trying to get the choke.
Then he out boxed a dude with a giant fucking reach to piece together a pretty damn exciting fight mixed in with some well timed takedowns. That crowd was absolutely nuts and the fight was far from a “clunker.”

Usman doesn’t have much success with is takedowns if they aren’t near the cage. It wouldn’t adapt well.

Counter argument, Mas wouldn have been able to stop the tackdowns as well or use the cage to get up.
