Do you believe Anderson Silva was healthy in the first fight against Sonnen?
If you do, was he just lucky in the second fight? Which fight was more representative of both fighters' skill?
I think Silva had a legitimate injury in the first fight.In the second fight there was the grabbing of the shorts but who knows how much that actually changed the outcome of the fight.Chael made a dumb mistake by going for a spinning back fist, then froze on the ground, and that's all Silva needs to finish the fight. 
hard to say but the first round of the second fight looked very familiar...
I think Anderson was hurt in the first fight and I also think he did struggle with Chaels pressure, I believe he trained healthily and smartly for the second fight and showed he is much better then Chael
Like Water was the AS documentary leading up to the fight (it was not shown until way after the fight) but it made no mention of an injury. He seemed to be training unhampered.
He had a broken/bruised rib in the first fight, right?

In the documentary , I could have sworn he had a rib injury.
I believe he had a strained/pulled rib type of injury that made it more difficult coupled with the fact that he promised Noguerra that he was going to submit Chael. 
He mentions the injury in Like Water. He was saying how he couln't train and it was fucked I believe
Healthy in the first, cheated in the second.
i believe his ribs were hurt which made his strikes less powerful, and other stuff....
JOESONDO - Like Water was the AS documentary leading up to the fight (it was not shown until way after the fight) but it made no mention of an injury. He seemed to be training unhampered.
so do you just watch like half of a movie/documentary and assume you know the rest? his injury was 100% mentioned

hard to say but the first round of the second fight looked very familiar...
Actually it looks pretty different to me. While Chael got him down right away Anderson was able to avoid almost all of Chaels punches in the second fight. Hell Chael had him fully mounted for a full minute and I don't think he landed more than 10 punches IIRC.
You're right, in the documentary he called his trainer (Nogueira I think) and said something along the lines of I can't train today, something's wrong.

It never specifically said his rib was injured but he was clutching it in obvious pain while training

Well, Sonnen mounted Silva in the first round of second fight
Supposedly he had a rib injury, but in Like Water, I can't remember whether he's tellin Big Nog or Machida that he's gonna sub Chael. I just remember after watching that, that I was so confident that Anderson got taken down for four rounds on purpose, just to get the sub in the fifth.

Haha says the guy who clearly didn't fucking watch.
Literally 4 or 5 scenes of him sitting against a wall holding his rib, complaining to his training partner after he hurt him, laying on the ground holding his ribs, warming up before the fight holding his ribs.
Also before all of that Nog says you're going to knock him out and Anderson says no ill submit him.
Nog stops kind of confused like no you're going to knock him out
Anderson stresses he wants the sub, comes out in the Gi.
It couldn't be more obvious that not only was he hurt but hell bent on submitting Chael for the Nog Bros
