My boy is in 5th grade 10 yrs old and just started wrestling 6 weeks ago and loves it. Now I've powerlifted a long time and he wants to start lifting with me but I want to know from you guys what specific lifts you think I should have him do to help him for wrestling? Should I stay with the basic bench, squat and dead or are there other lifts that wrestlers focus on? Thanks in advance for the advice.
geez no way a kid that young should be weightlifting, let him do pushups, situps and pullups
Well thats what I thought too Tommie but I know a guy who's in the Olympic lifters hall of fame and he said there's no reason he cant lift if he's serious about it and follows good form as he's taught.
