I was picking Chandler to win and bet my buddy 3-1 . When the fight started it didn’t look good for Chandler. He was getting stung by straights. That double leg was great but his ground and pound wasn’t that damaging.
If Chandler hadn’t gotten the teep how do you think the fight would have gone?
Tony was looking good and I expected him to come out even better in the second round. I thought Chandler was going to be in trouble.
Tony did look great. Man he was out for a long time.

Tony looked like he had what it took to beat Chandler. But when you find yourself on the receiving end of a highlight reel KO kick that should’ve never happened, it’s time to accept reactions and awareness aren’t what they used to be and retire.
Chandler’s eye was looking pretty bad, too. Tony might have been able to force a doctor stoppage if he could have worked on that eye a little longer.
I like both fighters and was sad it didn’t last a little longer. It could have been fight of the night.
