He was the backstage interviewer for the UFC mostly during the early stages after Zuffa purchased the company. As far as I can tell he just kinda disappeared and I can't seem to find anything stating what he did after the UFC. Whatever became of James Werme?

I heard through BJ Penn's camp that Werme was released due to several production errors. Including not showing it when BJ Penn donated his entire purse and other things like that. I guess Zuffa knew they had to step it up in the production department if they wanted to grow faster. Apparently they made the right call. Wasn't Werme an ex WWE guy or something like that? He was a production guy at another place before the UFC

The only thing I could find online with both Werme and WWE was this and in this case there was no relation between the two.

The only thing I really remember is Penn's camp being pretty upset that his charitable giving of his entire purse was not mentioned. I think they mentioned it on the next ppv after that though.
