White: Dean did a 'horrible job' in 5th at UFC 182

Shy Guy - Shut up, Dana. Phone Post 3.0

anpack20 - I don't think he did a bad job at all. If they're working, let them clinch. Phone Post 3.0

They weren't really working though. Neither was really trying to take the other down, they were just holding hands for the most part. Even if they're not deliberately stalling, if it's a stalemate, I think they should be reset.

Dana is a cunt Phone Post 3.0

Billyj - Herb was probably distracted by a guy in a yellow shirt in the crowd, while he thought to himself "I hope he doesn't try to take a pic with me later" Phone Post 3.0

LOL!

NewOldTRT09er - If Dana doesn't like clinching why doesn't he fuck off back to boxing where he allegedly came from. Phone Post 3.0
Errrr, they clinch in boxing. Phone Post 3.0
Errrr...they get separated and told to engage when they do for more than a few seconds.

I can't believe I had to spell out such an obvious point. I guess there's always one. Phone Post 3.0
You're getting confused with Judo, brah. Phone Post 3.0

I remember thinking a couple times in the fifth that herb could step in and it wouldnt be the craziest thing ive seen. To be fair though i did want to see cormier break the clinch and ko jones though Phone Post 3.0

A Real Life OGer - The 5th round was a hugging match. The dana haters dont want to admit he's right. It was a shitty way to end such a sick fight. I rather see 2 guys really going for it like Gus and Jones did in the 5th, or Weidman/Machida. Phone Post 3.0

Indeed.

They were stalling in that 5th round. JBJ to get the win, DC cause he was gassed. Dana is right on this one. And he did praise Herb and only criticized a specific issue in a specific round so I'm fine with that.

other than that it was an amazing fight?

DW must have slept through round 4.

DC had to know he was behind, and all he could think about in the 5th was a freakin takedown... Of course Bones was going to defend the takedown, this is why it was such a stall. Dana was wrong to blame Herb Dean, it was DC's fault, he needed a knockout and chose to work a takedown for that whole round instead... Phone Post 3.0

Round 4 was the best round of the fight.

Jones ragdolled DC with two take downs.
He scored his 3rd round which gave him the win and should have forced DC to go hard in the 5th.

With DC gassed round 4 was when Jones solidified his victory

Most importantly it was the round where the DC nut huggers really started to cry. Seeing Jones pick up DC and throw him to the ground was awesome. Their wrestling hero was outwrestled, broken and had lost. I can't remember a better round 4.. Phone Post 3.0

About fucking time someone threw Dean under the bus, he does that shit far too often! Separate them earlier ffs.

4th and 5th.

I was on the UG as the fight was going and this place went crazy on Jones for doing so much hugging in the 5th. And yall went crazy on Herb for not breaking it up. Now you guys are mad at Dana for saying the same thing? This is worse then all the Askren love that only started to happen after Dana passed on him. You guys will say anything to spite Dana. How does that even make sense given he's the most important person in combat history.

Dana has no room to criticize anyone's job performance after hearing how "proud" he is of Jones. Phone Post 3.0

CapnKindBud - So you guys liked that fifth round huh?
Anything to disagree with white lol Phone Post 3.0
The 5tg round was no different than dc vs Mir. Or the game plan Hendrix just used vs lawler. Just this time, the fighter Dana wanted to win lost. Phone Post 3.0
So Dana would want the much older and less popular fighter to win? Cause its not like Jones isn't currently the biggest draw and still has a solid 6 years left in his career while Cormier is less known and has only a couple good years left. Idiots lol Phone Post 3.0
Cormier wins you sell the rematch.

Sonnen vs Silva ring bells?

(Yes Chael lost but he won over the world with that performance and in doing so earned a rematch)

Sonnen vs Silva 2 was pushed harder than Dana's foot on Conor McGregor's ass dragging Ronda Rousey on a bobsled.

Cormier vs Jones 2!!!!!!!

Hello a great 2015 and we'll see you in December with the "biggest rematch EVER".

Jones won?

Ummm. Ok. Rumble Johnson might be next. It'll do the typical Jones numbers.

But that Cormier rematch in a blood feud?

Followed by a rubber match after a Jones win?

That's the big money and yeah, as a promoter, that's what DFW cares about.

Not Jones' legacy no more than Anderson's. Phone Post 3.0

Where was that opinion on the reffing in the Hendricks fight for tea bagging himself for minutes on end? OH right they love Hendricks for some unknown reason.

Dana seems like a pretty chill bro.

Herb did a good job...SUCK A FAT DICK DANA!!!

its entertainment rather than ultimate fighting these days. I still love the sport but it's a long way from its roots

I also don't think Dana should publicly criticize referees - that's poor form

Dana trying to influence the ref through the media again.
