To his credit, Dana White is the first to praise a referee for doing a great job in a fight, but at UFC 182 White was also quick to criticize Herb Dean for his role in the main event between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier:

Herb Dean is still UFC President Dana White’s favorite referee, despite a “horrible effort” in the fifth round of the epic light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier at UFC 182.
“Herb Dean, I always talk about him; I think he’s my favorite referee. He did a horrible job in the fifth round,” White said in a post-fight interview on FOX. “He let them clinch, literally for five minutes, but other than that, it was an amazing fight.”
Shit like this is why I am glad Dana isn't allowed to ref fights. For a guy who has been in this business as long as he has you would think he might learn something about fighting from time to time.

His interest is making money, herbs is to make sure rules are followed and fighters are safe.
A Real Life OGer - The 5th round was a hugging match. The dana haters dont want to admit he's right. It was a shitty way to end such a sick fight. I rather see 2 guys really going for it like Gus and Jones did in the 5th, or Weidman/Machida.
