He is already. That was not what would have stopped him.

They already gave it to Zombie so what’s the point now.

They had a chance to catch lightning in a bottle by giving Henry the shot but that’s over with. They were too fucking cheap. The next shot after Zombie will go to Max again.

Yes.

Too cheap to pay Cejudo $5,000,000 and earn back a whopping $500,000 of it.

Nobody is paying to see Henry Cejudo. Talent and interest unfortunately aren’t the same thing.

Cejudo’s on the short list of people I don’t care if I ever watch fight again.

Give him a top contender at 45 first. If he can win he deserves a title shot. Calvin Kattar? I guess he may be out for a bit. Ortega, Holloway, or Rodriguez if not.

Henry shouldn’t have retired in the manner he did. We all saw it was just a cash grab tactic and it’s not like Dana didn’t know what it was. If you are Dana you crush those guys that try to bend you over so publicly. The promotion doesn’t need Henry near as much as Henry needs the UFC.

Piotr Yan would prob be the better fight tho tbh, same with Morena/Fig at 25. Me thinks Cejudo wanted a quick payday without having to cut weight or train for it. In other words, he regrets retiring when he did.

The general public doesn’t care about midgets fighting. It’s up to him to sell himself. Whiny girl.

It was a typo.

He meant 280, 000, 000

What’s the price of the integrity of the sport? Think long term. It’s this kind of stuff that makes me want to quit supporting this circus.

Cejudo is the only guy at 135 that can beat Yan. If he beats Yan, then beats the overgrown midget Volk…that would be quite epic.

Its not a pure sport though with defined competitive architecture. Its prizefighting. Fighters get a cut of the revenue they generate for the promoters. Do they deserve a bigger cut? I think they do but it would still be prizefighting. There is no world championships to qualify for like as in wrestling. There are promoters and prizes. Big names get the biggest prizes.

Henry walked away because he thought doing so would generate him a bigger prize down the line or perhaps he was just tried of training at that level as all those years of wrestling and MMA started to add up.

The UFC should be paying fighters a bigger cut of the pie but if fighters got paid what they wanted then there is not a single promotion on earth that would be in business as there will always be fighters who want more than they are worth. You overpay enough fighters and there is no promotion left to speak of.

There will always be fighters who want more than they are worth to a promotion and there will always be promotions who want to pay fighters less than they are worth to the promotion. UFC fighters do earn a smaller percentage of revenue than athletes in other sports and maybe that changes in time.

Integrity?

You need to stop following ALL sports if you’re worried about integrity.

Henry is a great wrestler. A great fighter. But he’s an absolute fucking moron and terrible at self promotion.
