Who can fight Shogun in 13 days?

No way they are taking Hendo out of Rashad fight, that's a high profile fight in its own right. I think Maldonado would be a good showpiece for Shogun, but if they wanted to make his opponent more recognizable, maybe Phil Davis or Rich Franklin if either is willing to step up on a short notice. How bout Ilir Latifi again to save the card.

Dude will have had the 2 toughest 1st fights in UFC history.

He would give Shogun a great fight.

Unlikely fill-ins:
Hendo - UFC has already significantly promoted UFC 161 as Hendo vs. Evans and further promos will have been made up for the following weeks. This is the fight that is being used to sell the card to casuals and it won't be scrapped.

Glover - hand/elbow injury, on medical suspension from last fight

Rampage - likely is not training, overweight, over fighting, blah blah blah

Machida - makes little sense to him rankings-wise and is a very dangerous fight for Machida on short notice, not a good move for him

Mousasi - still recovering from his knee injury

Frankkin - is basically retired, very dangerous fight for him, unlikely he would take it especially on 2 weeks notice

Gustaffson - they already fought and Gustaffson is gunning for a title shot now

Bader - likely still injured or recovering, probably not in fight shape

Possible fill-ins:
Chael - possible and he is usually keen on short notice fights and in shape, but hasn't had a vendetta against Shogun and is still likely gunning for

Vitor - Vitor has been open to dangerous fights on short notice and could probably make 205 in two weeks. Would be great for the UFC and Vitor is a company man, but a dangerous fight for him

Jimi Manuwa - no fight scheduled but he may be in shape and it is a compelling matchup

Phil Davis - see above, but Shogun may be unlikely to accept a huge stylistic switchup in two weeks and the matchup is not compelling

Likely fill-ins:
Jimmo OR Pokrajac - already on the card, would likely be coupled with big financial incentive for them, would probably make for an exciting beating

Thiago Silva OR Feijao - ready to fight, comparable style matchup with Shogun, Silva has had a match scheduled with Shogun in the past

Sergio88 - Phil Davis? Phone Post 3.0

What's Bader up to?

Thiago silva should make a good fight.

And who ever said Phill Davis has no plans on buying this ppv Phone Post

Are there issues with getting a Canadian visa on short notice? I think Jimmo is the likely fillin

Whats Leban doing? Is he still suspended?

It's supposed to be one of the toughest countries to get into. McCall I know said he couldn't fight there because of his arrest (this is before he even spent those few days in jail). I've got a Canadian friend who can't leave and come to America even for vacation because of legal issues. So obtaining a visa in 12 days even with the UFC's help might be tough. I agree Jimmo will get the opportunity and thats actually not a bad matchup, just a horrible ppv co-main
